To celebrate the end of Black History Month, each year group was invited to take part in an African Drumming Workshop to experiment and explore music from the African continent. Each child was given their own African djembe drum, which they were taught to experiment with different sounds, tempos and musical styles. Each class took part in a drum circle, which enabled the children to immerse in a different culture and feel part of a musical unit. The children seemed to thoroughly enjoy the session.
